I don’t know if anyone can see this but it seems like the pixels toward the bottom of my screen have taken a dump. Does anyone know how this could happen?

can’t see anything.
i’m guessing an internal fault, maybe a new phone is needed?
how old is it?

Could be a moisture problem or a bad ribbon cable/connector leading to the display.

might need to take it to an Apple store perhaps then

Moisture could be the reason given I sat in the rain at a football game on Saturday

Most likely a manufacturing defect, unless there was some shock that partially broke a connection to the screen or the LED itself.
You should be able to just get the screen replaced , and I believe iPhone warranties are up to one year.

Lcd is probably dickered and will gradually get worse until fixed

Maybe try a soft reset? Couldn’t hurt at least.

If you mean that little grey bar... it's for swiping up. Otherwise, I see nothing...

Shouldn’t be a moisture issue, that phone is ip68 rated.

It’s meant to sit in water for 30 minutes and I was there for 3 hours

it can be submersed in 2m of water for 30mins. Getting rained on isn’t going to come close to that

It has a chance anyway. Entropy is a cruel mistress.

Not that they ever intended to let you do otherwise.
